Area of origin: Guerrero & Chiapas, Mexico.

Artisanal techniques used: Rattan Weaving, Macrame (knotting technique).

Experience the exquisite blend of traditional techniques from two culturally-rich communities in this artisanal hat. The rattan used to create this masterpiece was sourced from an Indigenous community located in Chilapa de Alvarez, Guerrero, where it was carefully manufactured using time-honored techniques. The intricate band, crafted using waxed thread, was created using the Macrame technique by skilled artisans in San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, who have been perfecting their craft for generations. Each band takes an average of 1 to 2 days to be meticulously handcrafted, ensuring every detail is perfect. This hat is a true labor of love, created with care and intention by artisans who take pride in their work.

Wear it proudly and appreciate the cultural heritage and craftsmanship woven into every fiber.

Please note that due to the nature of the artisanal process and the fact that they are made in batches, each piece is truly one-of-a-kind and may not be exactly as shown in the pictures. These small variations add to the charm and character of each piece, making them a truly unique addition to your wardrobe.
